Georgetown Lake is a popular recreation area for boating, fishing, camping, kiteboarding and windsurfing. It is a large, 3,000 acre, high mountain lake above6,000 feet. The lake is surrounded by the Flint Creek Range to the north and the Pintlers to the south. At Georgetown Lake, Kokanee salmon is the most sought after species, followed by rainbow trout. In winter, Georgetown Lake is used for ice fishing, kiteboarding and snowmobiling. Easily accessible from Montana Highway 1, the Pintler Veterans Memorial Scenic Highway, Georgetown Lake is located approximately 18 miles west of Anaconda and 15 miles south of Philipsburg, Montana.
Recreation Year Round
Georgetown Lake has four public boat ramps, public rest rooms and easy access for swimming, fishing and playing. Camping is available around the Lake at a number of National Forest campgrounds. Access to lodging, restaurants, casinos and a beautiful marina make Georgetown Lake the perfect Summer, Fall, Winter & Spring playground for everyone. |

Magical Weddings & Music of the World
St. Timothy's Memorial Chapel is an ecumenical ministry above Georgetown Lake. The Chapel is open for 12 Sundays each Summer. The magical views provide a wonderful venue for weddings. Georgetown Lake Kiteboarding
Georgetown Lake is a midsized lake in the soutthwestern end of Montana. The lake features plentiful snow and nice hills on the north shoreline. The wind is usually side shore, coming up by 11AM and lasting till dark. The lake plays host to many kiteboarding events and welcomes anyone wanting to catch some air. |

Fishing & Boating
Georgetown Lake is one of Montana’s premier blue ribbon fisheries offering nearly year round angling for trophy rainbow and brook trout and kokanee salmon. With an average depth of 16 feet, the lake is relatively shallow and much of the lake bottom is weedy. Whether you are fishing, sailing, jet skiing or boating, the lake is beautifully clear and clean. Fabulous any time of year. |
